Groundwork Simulator Gold Mining Process

Follow the confirmed Groundwork Simulator loop from prospecting and excavation through hauling, water supply and wash-plant processing.

Direct answer

The confirmed loop is: test the ground with a drill rig, choose a deposit, prepare access, excavate pay dirt, haul it to the processing area, keep water flowing to the wash plant, process the material and use the recovered gold to expand the site.

Step-by-step checklist

  1. Survey several points before opening a large cut.
  2. Prepare a stable route and enough turning space for the excavator, loader and truck.
  3. Excavate and load material without blocking the truck's return path.
  4. Set up the pump and water route before feeding the wash plant continuously.
  5. Process the material, inspect the site's bottleneck and expand the weakest stage first.

Prospect before moving the full fleet

The drill rig is presented as the way to test deposits. Use that information to choose where the excavation and processing chain will be built instead of moving every heavy machine before the site has been assessed.

Design the site around flow

A useful layout needs an excavation face, a loader or excavator position, truck access, a processing area and a water route. The terrain can be reshaped, so route preparation is part of production rather than decoration.

Water is a production dependency

The official gameplay loop explicitly includes supplying water to the wash plant. Treat the pump and water path as required infrastructure; material waiting beside an unpowered or dry plant is inventory, not output.

Expand the slowest stage

If the excavator waits for trucks, improve hauling. If trucks queue at processing, improve the wash setup or material staging. If everything waits for access, reshape the road. This is a workflow method based on the confirmed machine roles, not a claim about unpublished numeric throughput.

Values that remain unpublished

Deposit distribution, machine capacities, gold recovery percentages, fuel use, maintenance costs and the final economy balance are not specified in the reviewed official sources. They should be added only after a released build or developer data establishes them.
