Plan the meal around the horror

Check the creature's hunger and movement, choose dishes that cover the required amount, and use flavor, craving and gear effects to improve the plan rather than relying on one large dish.

1. Read the encounter before spending ingredients

The horror reference shows configured hunger, steps and moves. Some creatures have explicit area variants, so confirm the area value instead of assuming the base record is universal.

2. Compare dishes by recipe and base output

Use the dish list to filter by ingredient, tier or flavor. Hunger and stamina are separate fields; a higher tier does not by itself prove the dish is right for the current creature.

3. Reserve ingredients for a complete plan

The dish planner combines up to three recipes and ingredient totals. It deliberately excludes preference bonuses and runtime status changes that cannot be safely inferred from base fields alone.

4. Use seasonings for a specific change

Read the normalized effect on the ingredients and seasonings page. A seasoning may change flavor rather than add a simple flat value.

5. Match gear to behavior you can trigger

Cookware descriptions refer to conditions such as likes, dislikes, ingredients or rewards. Search the gear page for the condition already present in your plan.

6. Treat each run as versioned

This snapshot predates later official updates and modes. Check current patch notes when an unlock, count or value differs from the reference.
