Campfires & equipment
Change equipment at a campfire. Bring back forgotten Echoes to rekindle them there. Before leaving, choose the weapon and runes you want to test.
Weapons & runes
Weapons offer different skills. Runes alter how you play through their effects. Change one part of your setup at a time so you can judge its effect on your attacks and survival.
Exploration
Look for side paths, shortcuts, hidden chests and Echoes. A blocked route is a useful reason to return later; explore another path instead of repeatedly forcing the obstacle.
