Red Chat Ritual – TSUMIMI TIME

How to balance Mega Chats, investigation and gifts

Choose your daytime priority first

Keyword searches and map investigations advance time. Investigate in the morning and you only have one slot left for a short shift; you cannot then work a full day. An ordinary full shift pays ¥12,000 versus ¥5,000 for a short one. The ¥7,000 difference buys you an investigation slot.

Keep a separate Mega Chat reserve

When “Do not send” is available, you can skip chat interactions you do not want and save for a specific choice. If you want to try a ¥10,000 option, reserve that amount before buying gifts. A high price is not a guarantee of safety or useful evidence.

Send gifts before the target stream

Gifts normally receive a response in the following day’s stream; sending one before a particular date can also change the available interaction. Buying it after danger has started may be too late. A thank-you message alone does not establish that its special effect has happened.

Follow the information into the case file

Buying a gift, sending a Mega Chat, hearing new information and obtaining evidence are separate steps. Check new keywords after a stream, then choose the next investigation. If evidence is missing, return to the relevant earlier save instead of repeatedly guessing at the deduction screen.

Choose a plan for your goal

First run: investigate, then take a short shift

When you have a specific lead to pursue, spend one daytime slot on it and use the remaining slot to earn ¥5,000, or ¥8,000 on days 8 and 12. Trading earnings for information can be worthwhile; a mixed day is not automatically a bad day.

Saving for a target: full shift, fewer optional chats

If you have no urgent lead and need money for a chosen gift or chat, start a full shift in the morning. It pays ¥12,000 on ordinary days or ¥20,000 on days 8 and 12. Calculate the shortfall first; do not work continuously and reach a deduction with missing evidence.

Exploring branches: save before preparation

Keep a save from the day before the target stream so you can change gifts, plus another before entering the stream to compare chat choices. A save made just before a dangerous scene may already be too late to change your preparation.

Flexible investigations: batch them to earn ¥2,000 more

Across two ordinary days, investigating once and taking a short shift each day earns ¥10,000. Doing both investigations on one day and a full shift on the other earns ¥12,000 for the same total investigation and work slots. Only batch actions if no lead, gift deadline or paid choice that night will be missed.

Chapter 1: gifts, the newspaper and deduction traps · Spoilers

The Potato Gun interaction

To follow this interaction route, send the Potato Gun late on day 5 and check the gift response in the next stream. During day 6’s newspaper scene, look for the gift-specific choice and follow up on the newspaper information. The payoff is the evidence you pursue afterward, not merely owning the gift.

The gift price is only part of the budget

The Potato Gun costs ¥20,000. Reserving another ¥10,000 for an optional Mega Chat gives a combined target of ¥30,000 before other paid interactions. Starting money plus two ordinary full shifts is only ¥29,000: still ¥1,000 short. This is a budgeting example, not a requirement to buy the gun or choose that chat on every run.

TV coverage is not newspaper circulation

TV listings narrow the location to ST Prefecture. The local newspaper’s circulation area points specifically to its western part. The last blank in chapter 1 needs that more precise location.

Three answers that need precision

Use the three-hour one-way journey for travel time, not the broad description of a mountain cult village. Use the hexagonal tunnel, not merely an unusually shaped tunnel. Use western ST Prefecture, not the whole prefecture. Obtain the specific evidence before submitting.

Do not misdiagnose a failed deduction

Chapter 1 requires at least 300 points across five blanks. Its location answer also changes later branches, but one failed run does not mean that a single wrong blank always ends the game. Expensive gifts cannot substitute for the deduction score.

Key deduction answers · Spoilers

Protect the location answer

In chapter 1, the final blank should identify western ST Prefecture, not the whole prefecture. This answer changes later gifts and the chapter 2 pass threshold.

Keep the two pieces of evidence distinct

Chapter 2 accepts the imitation mannequin and the earring in either order for its two evidence blanks. Use both to make a coherent deduction.

Save at meaningful branches

Keep separate saves before deduction submissions and important stream choices. A later perfect answer does not erase an earlier route-defining answer.
