Feed the Scorchpot Beginner Guide
Learn the verified Feed the Scorchpot loop: keep dice, form pairwise Marks, match tiles, choose recipes and build an economy without an invented tier list.

Keep dice with useful pair sums, match those Marks to productive tiles, then use recipes and buildings to turn the harvest into enough fodder for the dragon. Treat every choice as a tradeoff between this year and the engine you are building.
1. Read a roll as pairs
Two valid kept dice make one Mark; three make three pairwise Marks. Before keeping a die, check what new sums it creates with the dice already kept. Use the Mark calculator to see the complete set.
2. Match the map, not a generic tier list
A mathematically common sum is useful only when it matches tiles or effects you can exploit. Check the current board and your recipe triggers before deciding that a die face is automatically good.
3. Separate production from conversion
Buildings establish ingredient and ducat flow; recipes convert roll conditions and resources into fodder, flavor, essence or other effects. Identify which side is limiting the run before buying another component.
4. Price deck cards by the start they guarantee
The deck database exposes category and point cost. A guaranteed building, die, tool or recipe changes the opening differently, so compare what the card supplies rather than cost alone.
5. Account for the chosen dragon and appetite
The build contains eight dragons and ten appetite labels. Their combined difficulty state can change constraints; do not transfer a route from one setup to another without checking the current menu and rules.
Evidence limits
This checklist combines official game context with rules and display data found in the supplied build. The executable was not launched, so shop frequencies, unlock timing, event behavior and balance in live play remain unverified.

Local evidence: supplied GOG build 59972138920079166. Counts, names, descriptions, face arrays, base fields and identifying images come from the shipped localization CSV and a read-only decompilation of the GameMaker data. The package does not expose a verified semantic version.
Official context: Feed the Scorchpot on Steam. Topic coverage was compared with FeedTheScorchpot.com, Feed the Scorchpot Wiki and Feed the Scorchpot Guide; their prose, rankings and images were not copied.
