The expedition begins in Antarctica in 1939. The Nazis seek to seize an ancient power; the Kaitiaki seek to return it to sleep. A penguin can witness both groups without sharing the humans’ ambition or their interpretation of the land.

Follow the seven chapter headings below as an orientation, not a promise that every side path must be visited in that order. Camps give way to ruins, the city and stranger spaces. Repeated words and landmarks invite comparison: who names a place, who claims it, and who is treated as a specimen?

Blakely’s scientific authority and Roger’s reporting should be read against what the surroundings actually show. The guide’s interpretation is that the game questions the power to define history and civilisation; it does not ask the player to accept every speaker as reliable.

Later areas change the usual guidance: listen for Psurumin when the wind will no longer lead you. Continue through Apotheosis and Silence, then inspect Expedition Results. Its invitation to compare discoveries is part of the ending’s presentation. No verified secret-ending recipe is assumed here.
