REKA · Seeds & windmill

Forage seeds from dried crops in abandoned farmsteads, then let a few of your own garden plants wither past blooming to harvest renewable seedpods. To unlock your own Windmill, deliver 250 Grain and 65 Garlic to the miller after the forest-spirit trial; once placed, the mill grinds 1 Grain into 1 Flour.

Where to start

Pick up the book from the bench at the witch’s gate before gathering with your crows. Raise your oil lantern to highlight quest items and treasure chests—holding the lantern up is a separate action from switching on its light. Because map layouts change between regions, navigate by location names and landmarks rather than fixed coordinates.

Seeds and regrowth

Search the overgrown planting beds at abandoned farmsteads to harvest seeds from dried plants. Show newly discovered seeds to Baba Jaga first, then plant them in pots or garden beds at home. Water the plants until they flower; leave a few unharvested until they wither, then collect their seedpods. Keep a small reserve of plants for seeds and use the rest for cooking or herbal remedies.

Get your own windmill

  1. Find the Big Windmill after completing the forest-spirit trial. Speak to the miller about the smaller mill at the edge of the grain field and accept his harvest job.
  2. Send your crows to harvest the nearby fields, then return with 250 Grain and 65 Garlic in your inventory and choose the delivery dialogue. Both must remain raw in your inventory—ingredients already cooked into dishes do not count.
  3. Completing the delivery consumes the 250 Grain and 65 Garlic and rewards you with a Windmill and its building blueprint. Place the mill at home, open its inventory, and add Grain: 1 Grain produces 1 Flour. Building another mill from the blueprint costs 20 Wood. Before you unlock the mill, check Bogdan’s wares when you need Flour.

Cooking and quest requests

Check the required crafting station first, then prepare the ingredients listed in the recipe. When a quest or ritual calls for Black Salt or Ritual Candles, you need the finished item rather than its raw ingredients. Verify the requested dish variant and quantity before handing food to a villager. The calculator rounds batches up and does not deduct your existing stock.
