View story spoilers · A farewell ritual for spirits
  1. For spirit quests, first obtain the Dziady mask and learn how to guide spirits from Baba Jaga. Resolve the ghost’s unfinished business before starting the farewell ritual.
  2. Prepare 3 Poppies and 3 Ritual Candles. Craft Ritual Candles at the Spell Binding Table using Black Salt, Honeycomb, and St. John’s Wort—use the recipe calculator to check batch quantities.

  3. Place the Poppies and Ritual Candles at the three marked corners around the ghost. Tell the spirit you will guide it, wait for it to step into the center, then light all three candles. Completing the ritual grants the fixed rewards shown below once per spirit.

The Witch in the Woods and attic-ghost quests do not respawn once completed. The Crumbling Castle feud can reappear after a four-map cooldown, granting its ritual reward once per completion. Bludnik shrines can spawn on multiple maps—locate the swamp and visit between 22:30 and 05:30.

The Bludnik · View story spoilers

Complete this earlier stage: Learning the ropes

  1. Search the swamp at night between 22:30 and 05:30. Approach the glowing Bludnik and follow it to its sunken shrine.
  2. Place a single offering into the shrine slot. Grain is worth 5 points, Flour 10, and Salt 15. A single serving of Pierogi with Cabbage, Pierogi with Mushrooms, or Pierogi with Pumpkins is worth 25 points and unlocks every treasure container at once. A stack of 5 Grain does not count as a 25-point offering.

  3. At 5 points, one pot rises; at 10, two more pots rise; at 13, the main chest rises; and at 20 and 25 points, one additional pot rises at each threshold. Open the containers that surface—contents are drawn randomly from the reward pool below rather than guaranteed all at once.

  2. Read the order note for cursed effigies, question the nearby villagers about it, and report their deception back to Varvara to finish her dialogue.
  3. On Varvara’s property, command your crows to destroy the two cursed bone objects, then place 1 Black Salt at each of the four marked corners to cleanse the grounds. Finish both the cleansing and the villager deception dialogue before returning to her.

Location & requirements: Secluded Homestead

Complete this earlier stage: Becoming the herbal witch

  1. Find the Secluded Homestead in a spirit region. Speak to the man downstairs first to receive a Berry Cake, then put on the Dziady mask and head up to the attic to speak with the ghost.
  2. Listen to her story, confront the man downstairs, and choose how to answer her plea. To curse him, first learn Cursed Effigy crafting from Baba Jaga, place one cursed bone object at the marked spot on the property, and report back—or persuade the ghost to let go of her revenge through dialogue.
  3. Once she is at peace, perform the farewell ritual with 3 Poppies and 3 Ritual Candles. Her fixed ritual reward is 5 Ghost Ashes and Fayina’s Heirloom (the candle holder shown below); the Berry Cake is awarded separately during your first conversation downstairs.

Bound to the Bog: the ghost will not follow · View story spoilers
  1. Finish the Carver chapter first so this encounter can appear on later maps. After learning to see and help spirits from Baba Jaga, look for the Bog Body and the nearby Lost Spirit in a swamp. Put on the Dziady mask and ask the spirit what happened and how to help. Bring 3 Poppies and 3 Ritual Candles for the final step.
  2. Equip the oil lantern and switch on its light, then press and hold the control for raising the lantern as shown in your control settings. Keep it raised as you lead the spirit back to the body—switching the light on alone is not enough. If the spirit stops following, move back within range and raise the lantern again.
  3. At the body, speak to the spirit again and finish the conversation in which it accepts its death. Prepare the farewell ritual at the marked spots with 3 Poppies and 3 Ritual Candles. Wait for the spirit to stand in the center, then light all three candles.

  1. Brew Clarity Cordial for Baba Jaga, place her bed, and bring her Pancakes, Linen Cloth, and Grain. When she asks for time alone to work, explore or travel before checking on her again. Build the banya (steam bath), bring her an Egg, and speak with her to receive the handmade doll before embarking on the final journey.

    Clarity Cordial

  2. Upon arriving at the final region, check on Baba Jaga at her bed and read her letter. Feed Pancakes to the handmade doll and speak with it, then meet Veles outside. Cleanse the ritual ground with your Pine Branch, build the funeral pyre, and carry Baba Jaga from her bed onto the pyre.
  3. Visit Perun’s shrine first, swear the oath, and carry his shield back to the pyre. Use Perun’s strength to raise the fallen Pillars of the Gods and follow their beams to the remaining shrines. Siva grants her jewelry without a trial; tend the flames at Svarog’s shrine to earn his ember bowl. Place all three divine gifts by the pyre alongside a personal offering of your choice.
  4. Set Poppies and Ritual Candles at the marked spots around the pyre, place coins over Baba Jaga’s eyes, and finish speaking with Veles. Bathe in the banya’s steam to cleanse yourself, fetch living embers from your cottage oven, and light the pyre to enter Nawia, the realm of the dead.

  5. Locate Baba Jaga’s soul in Nawia, walk beside her, and complete your parting conversations. Speak with her one last time when you are ready to return to the living world. The handmade doll remains with you as a guide, with optional dialogue revealing its bond to Baba Jaga.
