Free Agent
A skater who can join your team. One is offered to most squads at the start of a run. You can also gain free agents mid-run through General Manager nodes.
Passing, contact, training and co-op roles.

Start with short passes, then pass across the goalie and time a one-timer. Keep an outlet behind the puck so a missed shot does not leave everyone stranded up ice.
Check to disrupt possession, then recover the puck. Against a strong checker, move the puck before contact. A shot blocker protects the lane; chasing every hit opens another lane.
Odd Fungus propels the receiver. Pair it with a passing route that leaves space ahead of the receiver. Power Transfer adds a temporary benefit after a pass; use that window instead of holding the puck.
Avenge Me! enrages teammates when its owner is knocked out; Rage Switch enrages a skater when an ability is triggered. They suit different triggers. Favor the condition your lineup can use consistently, rather than expecting every bonus to stay active.
Training improves attributes. Visit Blademaster to learn or upgrade powers, or Fan Number 1 for a new talent. Before choosing a fork, check what your lineup needs. Bench an injured player for a game or visit Nurse to recover.
In co-op, divide puck carrying, off-puck finishing and defensive cover. Call the pass before cutting across the crease. Keep one player behind the attack while another pressures the carrier. Remote friends can join through Steam Remote Play Together; local Play Now supports up to 10 players.
