Throwing and attachment
Aim at an attachable surface and throw a tape. A successful attachment creates a span you can use; a blocked or unsuitable surface can make the throw fail. Move to a clearer angle before trying again.
Use your tape as a platform, change the route and explore a maze without written instructions.

A throw consumes a tape from your hand. Recall a deployed tape to reuse it, but check what it is supporting first: your old route may change when it retracts.

Tape interacts with measurement mechanisms and moving blocks. Change one span at a time and watch which object reacts; the tape can be an obstacle as well as a platform.

Activate checkpoints as you reach them. Their state and your return position are saved; use an activated point as the start of your next route experiment.
