Tools & wagon maintenance

Learn TrashDay wheel tightening, panel repair and tool durability rules. Prepare repair supplies, recover your wagon and coordinate with teammates.

Raccoon character from the game

Before moving a loaded wagon

  1. Inspect wheels and panels, choose a path, and give one teammate responsibility for repair supplies.
  2. If the wagon overturns, coordinate attached ropes to pull it upright. The flip achievement specifically tracks players holding an attached rope at the upright event.
  3. After recovering the wagon, inspect damage again before loading more loot. Recovery and repairing its parts are separate tasks.

Wheels and tightening

Attach the wheel, focus its bolt and use a tightening tool until tightening finishes. The fast-tightening achievement requires the completion event within 2 seconds of attachment, not merely starting the action within 2 seconds.

Ratchet tools consume durability while they successfully tighten. Capacity is tool-specific. An empty or depleted tool can disrupt a repair plan; account for supplies before attempting the timed achievement.

Panel repairs and upgrades

A repair item is accepted when the panel is broken, or when the item’s tier exceeds the intact panel’s current tier. The repair consumes the held item; an existing positive-tier panel can pop off its old tier item.

For Wagon of Theseus, each panel on the same wagon must complete a repair cycle. Fixing one panel repeatedly does not satisfy the all-panel check.

Durability and budgeting

Durability is tracked as a fraction from 0 to 1. Some items break when depleted; the behaviour is configured per item. Recycling values and shop prices measure different things, so plan purchases using the actual shop price.

Cooperative recovery

Keep a teammate available to revive a fallen player. Revive statistics are credited to the reviver; team shopping spending and some collection awards use shared tracking. Use the achievement checklist to distinguish them.
