Direct answer

Delve Survivors uses Magic, Rare, Legendary and Unique item tiers. Gear can improve statistics, strengthen skills and unlock synergies; the Town Hub supports equipment upgrades, class-stat improvements, consumable purchases and item exchange between characters in the same game mode.

The four confirmed rarity tiers

The official store lists Magic, Rare, Legendary and Unique equipment. Rarity names establish the progression structure, but they do not prove that every higher-rarity item is automatically better for every build. Exact affixes, ranges and drop rates are not yet published.

What gear can change

Equipment can raise character statistics, strengthen abilities and unlock interactions across a build. The official description also names area effects, status effects and summons as build components, so useful gear should be evaluated against the skills a character is actually using rather than by rarity alone.

What the Town Hub does

Between dungeons, the Town Hub can upgrade weapons and armor, improve class-based statistics, sell potions or magic scrolls and move items between eligible characters. It is the confirmed persistent-progression layer outside individual dungeon runs.

Shared-item restriction

Official wording limits item exchange to characters in the same game mode. Do not assume that a Casual character can supply a Casual Rogue or Hard Core character. This separation also means future build guides must always state the mode used for testing.

What remains unknown

A complete item database, Legendary Enchantment list, crafting costs, affix values and best-in-slot rankings are not available from the official sources. IndieTome will not turn those missing values into estimated tables.
