Your first return to camp

A journey ends when Spirit Energy runs out. Back at camp, visit the Jianmu Astrolabe and invest your materials in construction and permanent upgrades. If you cannot travel far enough, look at energy-capacity upgrades before the next departure.

Cover your weaknesses first

Keep your wheels and essential workstations in working order, then add a weapon that can reach enemies above the vehicle. Close-range weapons alone can leave flying enemies out of reach; a ranged option fills that gap.

Give each companion a job

Read fixed traits first, then check the random traits actually rolled on this recruit. Bonuses to an operated device’s damage, accuracy or protection belong at that device’s workstation. Vehicle power, repairs and merchant benefits support the wider party.

Farm toward a specific upgrade

Choose a level range in the camp planner, then filter the loot catalogue by the resource you lack. Check the source enemy’s region and leave room in your backpack. A useful haul brought home advances the camp more reliably than chasing every copper coin.

Open the next region

Start in Great Lake. Defeat Abyssal Fang to open Sand Marsh, Giant Tumbleweed to open Canopy, and Skyshriek to open Abyssal Ruins. The unlock target is not always the region’s final boss. Choose your next destination around the equipment and materials you want.

Read the downside before recruiting

Some companions leave on their own, force event choices or cause other party members to disappear. Review the full set of traits before recruiting, especially when your setup depends on a particular operator.

Build around a purpose

Melee protection plus ranged coverage

Use this when threats approach at several heights. A melee device handles enemies next to the vehicle; ranged equipment covers distance and the air. Put damage or accuracy traits on your main weapon and retain repair support.

Loot and carrying capacity

Useful for repeated material runs. Build around traits that generate crops or sculptures, and extra carrying capacity. Keep loot that converts into the resources your next upgrade needs. When space runs out, compare settlement yields rather than item names.

Recovery over a long route

Compare vehicle recovery and energy capacity, then support your devices with repair traits. Heavy bodies and missing mounting slots change which equipment fits your plan; check the vehicle catalogue before choosing a loadout.

Copies and opportunistic supplies

A relic-copying trait can provide an extra relic when you acquire one, while workshop traits can supply random equipment at monoliths. This suits parties that adapt along the route. Keep a dependable main weapon until a useful replacement actually arrives.
