A co-op plan that survives contact
Choose single-player, same-screen co-op or online co-op before the run. Online and cross-platform play are supported; same-screen co-op needs at least one gamepad. Agree who hosts and test every controller before selecting beasts.
Assign jobs, not identical builds: one sturdy beast draws attention, a mobile player creates side angles, a control player uses throws and chains, and one player preserves space for revives. Change jobs when injuries disable a key action.
Call the direction before circling a pillar. The front player sets the route and the last player protects the retreat lane. Running opposite ways tightens the chain around scenery and removes everyone’s dodge space.
Friendly damage is part of the problem until an effect explicitly reduces or prevents it. Keep thrown weapons and wide swings out of an ally’s line, and warn the team before triggering fire, explosives or a mounted weapon.
When an ally is down, clear the nearest attacker and open a short path before reviving. Do not make every player abandon position at once; one rescuer and one guard are safer than four gladiators colliding over the same body.
Plan your priorities around bear punches, agile Ibex crits or a coordinated team. Compare each effect before committing.
Affliction finderFind 79 active afflictions and compare their severity levels before healing, training or surgery changes the plan for your chained gladiators.
