Probably Stolen: Machines and module choices
Choose quality, performance or efficiency by the bottleneck each machine must solve. This guide compares roles rather than inventing a single best module for every production line.

Choose the bottleneck first
Quality helps when the output grade limits value; performance helps when time or queue length limits supply; efficiency helps when power or consumables stop the line. If none of those is currently a constraint, postpone the module purchase.
Match modules to the machine
Collectors and purifiers need reliable storage and power as much as speed. Furnaces, chemical equipment and wine production benefit from controlled test batches before a quality investment. Refrigeration, alarms and support machines should be judged by the loss they prevent, not only by output.
Upgrade checklist
Before installing a module, record the current input, output, duration and operating cost. Install one change, repeat the same batch, then keep the module only if it solves the target problem. Do not copy exact breakpoints from a different demo version without checking the live tooltip.
12 entries shown

Advanced Turbo Booster
A tool that can immediately power machines that require time to operate. Ensure the target machine has all the necessary inputs before using. Recharges over time. This advanced version will not be consumed upon use.

Bottle Printer
A pre-programmed 3D printer that is capable of creating small Water Bottles.

Chem Finisher
official game analysis chemicals into pills, vials and other containers.

Chemical Equipment Module
Require a module extractor to remove once officially analyzed. A special module that can improve the Blender, the Heating Plate and the Chem Finisher

Disposable Turbo Booster
A tool that can immediately power machines that require time to operate. Ensure the target machine has all the necessary inputs before using. Consumed upon use.

Evaporator
A slow machine that works overnight to evaporate liquids out of a solution using low heat and dry air.

Fridge
Chills stored drinks overnight. Chilled goods sell for more. Wine and unsealed water are unaffected.

Furnace
Refines 2 pieces of either metal scrap or ores into a metal ingot. Requires Energy. Overnight.

Machine Bay (Expanded)
A expanded bay for storing machines.

Module Extractor (Advanced)
Allows you to extract stuck modules from machines without breaking them. This advanced model will not degrade with use.

Module Extractor (Basic)
Allows you to extract stuck modules from machines without breaking them. Has value shown in your game uses. Can be partially refurbished with Electronic Parts.

Moisture Farm
Produces Water when provided with a container. Requires Energy. Overnight.
A machine designed to extract Water from the humid ambient air of the Station.
